Acceptable Use & Moderation Policy

Platform rules, content moderation, reporting, and appeals framework.

Acceptable Use and Moderation Policy — Winstory

ARTICLE 1 — TWO LAYERS

Platform moderation addresses unlawful content and security abuse. Campaign moderation addresses the brief and creative criteria. The consequences are not the same.

ARTICLE 2 — UNLAWFUL CONTENT

The following are treated as platform content: content harming minors, terrorist content, punishable violent incitement, fraud, impersonation, malware and non-consensual sexual content.

ARTICLE 3 — RIGHTS

Infringements of copyright, trade mark, image and privacy are examined on a credible notice. The reporting policy describes the useful elements.

ARTICLE 4 — DEEPFAKE

A manipulation of image or voice presented as real without a statement, where it misleads, may be removed. Artistic use labelled as such is assessed under the law.

ARTICLE 5 — MANIPULATION

Abusive multiple accounts, collusion, the purchase of votes and rank manipulation are abuses. They cause their author to lose eligibility.

ARTICLE 6 — PAYMENT

Payment fraud and an abusive chargeback also fall under this policy for suspension of flows, without being confused with creative rejection.

ARTICLE 7 — CREATIVE REJECTION

Rejection for being off-brief remains a Campaign decision. It does not, by itself, carry an account sanction or the standard refund.

ARTICLE 8 — MEASURES

The measures are refusal, removal, limitation of visibility, suspension or closure. They are proportionate. A Reward already earned in good faith is not cancelled without its own ground.

ARTICLE 9 — GROUNDS

Where the law requires it, the person concerned receives the ground, the essential facts, the rule applied, a statement of any automated means if it was decisive, and the available route of redress.

ARTICLE 10 — GOOD FAITH

A notice is made in good faith. A repeated bad-faith notice may be disregarded.

ARTICLE 11 — WHAT IS NOT STATED

This policy describes the rules and the elements of a notice. It does not describe an electronic form as being open on the site.

ARTICLE 12 — EVIDENCE

Decision logs are kept for the time useful for an appeal and for limitation. They are not irrebuttable against a consumer.

ARTICLE 13 — MINORS

Content involving a minor in an unlawful way is removed as a priority. Reporting to the authorities follows the law.

ARTICLE 14 — AUTOMATION

A tool may help to detect abuse. A significant restriction is not presented as decided by the tool alone where the law requires human review on appeal.

ARTICLE 15 — TRANSPARENCY

Winstory publishes a numeric moderation report only when it is required to and it has the counts. This policy is not a substitute for that report.

ARTICLE 16 — CAMPAIGN APPEAL

A challenge to the brief or the rank is a Campaign route. It is not the appeal against an account restriction for unlawful content.

ARTICLE 17 — FORCE MAJEURE

An ordinary delay in review is not force majeure. Security urgency allows a provisional measure.

ARTICLE 18 — PROPORTION

The sanction takes account of seriousness, repetition and intent. A first good-faith error on a brief is not treated as fraud.

ARTICLE 19 — SURVIVAL

Removals already made, evidence and Rewards earned in good faith survive account closure.

ARTICLE 20 — CONTACT

Written requests are sent to 8 rue de Wattignies, 75012 Paris, France. That address does not replace an emergency legal route to the authorities.
