Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy — Winstory

ARTICLE 1 — PURPOSE

This policy describes trackers. It is distinct from the terms. Accepting the terms is not consent to trackers.

ARTICLE 2 — NECESSARY

Storage strictly necessary for the service requested, such as keeping a security session, does not require consent. It is not used for advertising.

ARTICLE 3 — AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT

Audience measurement is exempt only if it meets the CNIL’s strict criteria, including the absence of advertising matching. That exemption is not claimed here for the tools described in article 4.

ARTICLE 4 — ANALYTICS

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, where they are loaded, are non-essential trackers. They require prior consent. They are not presented as exempt.

ARTICLE 5 — ADVERTISING

Meta and LinkedIn trackers, where they are loaded, are non-essential advertising trackers. They require consent. The setting that activates them is not, by itself, proof of an informed choice by the person if no collection took place.

ARTICLE 6 — CONSENT

Consent is freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. Continuing to browse is not presented as consent. It may be withdrawn for the future.

ARTICLE 7 — DURATION

Non-essential trackers are not kept beyond what their purpose justifies, and in any event within the limits recommended by the CNIL for audience measurement where it applies. The exact duration depends on the tool.

ARTICLE 8 — THIRD PARTIES

Google, Meta and LinkedIn are controllers of their own processing once the tracker runs, under their policies. Winstory remains responsible for placing the tracker on its site.

ARTICLE 9 — WITHDRAWAL

Withdrawal of consent applies for the future. It does not make prior processing based on valid consent unlawful.

ARTICLE 10 — MANAGING YOUR CHOICES

You may accept, refuse, or customise non-essential trackers using the “Cookie settings” link (or equivalent control on the site). Analytics or advertising trackers run only after a valid choice for the relevant purpose.

ARTICLE 11 — EVIDENCE

Proof of consent, where it is collected, is kept for the time needed to show compliance with the rule.

ARTICLE 12 — TRANSFERS

These tools may involve transfers outside the EEA. They are not activated as non-essential trackers without a valid basis.

ARTICLE 13 — RIGHTS

The rights in the privacy policy apply to data from trackers, according to the controller concerned.

ARTICLE 14 — UPDATE

The list of tools follows what is actually loaded. A new non-essential tool is not added without the required consent.

ARTICLE 15 — CONTACT

Questions are sent to 8 rue de Wattignies, 75012 Paris, France.
