Start with your idea
An Individual Creator on Winstory begins a campaign by defining a story-world: the opening story, the creative frame and the rules for how others may continue it. That starting point can be a film you already have, a character or visual universe, a music-video concept, or a prompt your community can answer.

Let your community continue it
Once the opening story is live, other people can discover it, watch the frame you set and submit a video that continues, answers or varies the story. Completers, community members and, where a campaign allows it, other creators can all participate without replacing you as the person who started the universe.

How it works
The Individual path starts at role selection, then the creation flow used to define your campaign. The sequence below is the public journey — not a promise that every optional tool is on for every campaign.

AI video as an optional creative tool
Winstory is a collaborative storytelling platform, not a stand-alone AI video generator. AI Gen Studio can help produce an opening or a later visual inside the creation or completion flow when that tool is available. You do not need AI tools to start a story, and model or provider availability can vary.
Participation, moderation and rewards
Rewards depend on the campaign you configure or join. Eligibility, approval and any payout follow the disclosed campaign terms, moderation outcome and participant eligibility. They are not guaranteed, and Winstory does not promise earnings, audience growth or brand deals.

Can I start my own story?
Yes. Choose the Individual role in the creation flow, define your story-world and publish an opening story that others can continue under your brief.
Can my audience participate?
Yes. After your campaign is open, people can discover it and submit video contributions. Accepted submissions can enter the campaign canon after moderation.
Do I need AI tools?
No. AI Gen Studio is optional. You can start with a film you already have. When AI video tools are available, they sit inside the broader collaborative workflow.
Can I also contribute to other stories?
Yes. Starting a story does not prevent you from completing someone else's campaign. Completing is a separate intent, documented on the Completers page.
How do rewards work?
Rewards depend on campaign rules, eligibility and moderation. They are not guaranteed. Read the terms for each campaign before you launch or submit.
How is submitted content moderated?
Submissions are reviewed against the campaign brief and validation rules. Only accepted contributions become part of the official story-world. No moderation process removes every risk.
