Moderator Terms

USDC escrow access, voting, Rewards, and payout rules for Moderators.

Moderator Terms — Winstory

ARTICLE 1 — SUBJECT

These terms govern the Moderator’s participation in assessing Contributions. They are distinct from the Payment Terms and the moderation policy.

ARTICLE 2 — ELIGIBILITY

The Moderator is at least eighteen, connects a wallet and meets the anti-abuse checks. Winstory may refuse access where there is an indication of collusion.

ARTICLE 3 — ACCESS DEPOSIT

Vote access requires a strictly positive USDC deposit. The technical minimum is 0.000001 USDC. That deposit is not an entry price for a draw.

ARTICLE 4 — WEIGHTING

The figure of 50 USDC is a vote-weighting denominator, in the form deposit divided by deposit plus fifty. It is not the minimum amount for access. A screen that still displayed a minimum of fifty is read in the light of this article.

ARTICLE 5 — NATURE OF THE DEPOSIT

The deposit is not a bet, not a wager and not an investment. It does not guarantee a gain. A minority vote does not cause loss of the principal.

ARTICLE 6 — NO FORFEITURE OF PRINCIPAL

Winstory does not forfeit the USDC principal because of the direction of a vote. A technical hold linked to an open obligation is not a forfeiture.

ARTICLE 7 — LOCK

Withdrawal of the deposit is possible when the seven-day period has elapsed and no open obligation remains. Before that, the deposit stays committed to cover the assessment in progress.

ARTICLE 8 — VOTE

The Moderator votes according to the displayed criteria. The Moderator does not sell a vote and does not coordinate a vote with a participant to distort a rank.

ARTICLE 9 — COLLUSION

Collusion, unauthorised automated voting and abusive multiple accounts allow access to be suspended. Reputation may be reduced. The principal is not redirected to another user for that reason alone.

ARTICLE 10 — MODERATOR REWARD

A moderation Reward, if one is provided, follows the displayed rule. It is not the product of a draw. It is not the deposit itself.

ARTICLE 11 — PAYOUT

The canonical monetary payout of a Reward runs through Stripe Connect. It is subject to the provider’s checks. It is distinct from withdrawal of the USDC deposit.

ARTICLE 12 — NETWORK

The deposit moves on the network on which the contract is deployed, including where that network is Base. Network fees, public visibility of the transaction and contract risk are borne within the limits of the law. Winstory does not guarantee the USDC price.

ARTICLE 13 — KEYS

The Moderator keeps control of the Moderator’s wallet to sign the deposit and the withdrawal. Winstory does not ask for the recovery phrase.

ARTICLE 14 — TAX

The Moderator declares the sums received. Winstory does not give tax advice.

ARTICLE 15 — CHARACTERISATION

The deposit is not presented as crypto-asset advice or as a public offer of securities. The precise regulatory characterisation of the escrow depends on the actual deployment and is not decided by these terms.

ARTICLE 16 — SUSPENSION

Access may be suspended in the event of fraud, attack or manipulation. The deposit remains withdrawable under article 7 when the suspension has ended and the withdrawal conditions are met, except for a legal block.

ARTICLE 17 — EVIDENCE

The on-chain transaction, the timestamp and the vote log are evidence, without being irrebuttable against a consumer.

ARTICLE 18 — FORCE MAJEURE

Ordinary network congestion is not force majeure. An external, unforeseeable and irresistible event suspends only the obligation that is prevented.

ARTICLE 19 — LIABILITY

Winstory is liable for its essential obligations. It does not guarantee moderation income. The consumer’s legal reservations remain.

ARTICLE 20 — COMPLAINT

A challenge to a Campaign vote follows the Campaign rule. A challenge to an account restriction follows the moderation policy. The two routes are not the same.

ARTICLE 21 — END

The Moderator may stop after withdrawing the deposit under article 7. Rewards already earned remain due.

ARTICLE 22 — SURVIVAL

The right to withdraw the deposit under article 7, the Reward already earned, evidence and the recipient’s tax obligation survive.
